since the early 60s) and one of the most picturesque small towns located on the Adriatic coastline, with lots of characteristic narrow alleys in the old town on a small hilly peninsula.<br \/>\nThere is a wide choice of sport and leisure activities: tennis, table tennis, bowling, beach volleyball, and sailing. There are sailing and scuba diving workshops. There are around 50 available restaurants and taverns at your disposal. The local specialty is a lobster made in a special Primo\u0161ten way. Discotheque Aurora is the biggest disco club in Dalmatia.<\/p>\n<p>Accommodation and home cooked food is offered to tourists in around 30 villages and small towns of Primo\u0161ten Burnji, in the back of Primo\u0161ten, (ham, oil cheese, macrobiotic and eco food \u2013 chick pea, olive oil, lentil) as well as traditional national cuisine. Apart from all this, it is worth tasting the famous red wine Babi\u0107, which is produced by growing a native sort of grape in the famous stone vineyards of Primo\u0161ten. These vineyards have a status of an international monument to the human achievement and their picture is located in the lobby of the United Nations building. Excursions are organized: The Primo\u0161ten wine road trip (hiking to villages of Primo\u0161ten Burnji), a visit to Krapanj (a museum of sponges), Zlarin (coral tour) and etc.<\/p>\n<p>In summer months a number of cultural, artistic and entertainment manifestations are held, like, for example the &#8220;Primo\u0161tenska fe\u0161ta i uzance&#8221; (the first week of August). The holidays of Our Lady of Loreta (9 and 10 of May) are especially celebrated and of Our Lady of Port (27 of July) when a large procession is held around the town and with ships out on the sea.<br \/>\nThe main economy branch is agriculture, vineyard farming, olive growing, fishing and tourism.
